Neuroplasticidade e Desenvolvimento Cerebral ao Longo do Ciclo Vital: Mecanismos, Janelas de Oportunidade e Fatores Moduladores

Resumo

A neuroplasticidade constitui um dos principais mecanismos biológicos responsáveis pela capacidade do cérebro de adaptar-se às experiências, reorganizar circuitos neurais e modificar sua estrutura e funcionamento ao longo da vida. Considerando o desenvolvimento humano como um processo contínuo e dinâmico, que se estende do período pré-natal à velhice e envolve transformações biológicas, cognitivas, emocionais e sociais, este estudo teve como objetivo mapear as evidências científicas sobre neuroplasticidade e desenvolvimento cerebral ao longo do ciclo vital, com foco nos mecanismos biológicos, nas janelas de oportunidade e nos fatores moduladores da organização e reorganização neural. Para isso, realizou-se uma revisão de escopo da literatura, de abordagem qualitativa, nas bases Portal de Periódicos CAPES, PubMed e Scopus. Os resultados evidenciaram que o desenvolvimento cerebral decorre da interação entre fatores genéticos, moleculares, hormonais, ambientais e socioculturais. Destacaram-se a primeira infância e a adolescência como importantes janelas de oportunidade, marcadas por elevada plasticidade cerebral e maior sensibilidade às influências ambientais. Também foram identificados fatores protetivos, como nutrição, atividade física e cuidado responsivo, e fatores de vulnerabilidade, como estresse crônico, negligência e pobreza. Conclui-se que a neuroplasticidade desempenha papel central na construção das competências cognitivas, emocionais e sociais ao longo da vida.
